On the morning of Saturday, October 18, 2025, beneath the gentle sunlight, waves of laughter and cheerful chatter echoed through the second-floor atrium of the College of International Exchange at Shenzhen University. More than 50 students from over 10 countries gathered at the "Chinese Corner," opening conversations in Chinese and bridging the distance between hearts through games.

At 10:30, the host, Teacher Li, declared the event open in both Chinese and English. After a brief introduction to the rules, our exciting ice-breaking session commenced.

As the chant—"Peach blossoms bloom!" "How many?" "Five!"—rang out, participants immediately clustered into groups of five. Those who couldn't form a full group were warmly invited to join the circle in the center. The game sparked continuous laughter, swiftly melting away the initial shyness among the students.

Following a sequential count-off—"1, 2, 3, 4..."—students formed new teams based on matching numbers. The activity organized participants into six groups of 8-10 members each, launching the self-introduction session: "I'm from...", "I study...", "My hobbies are...". In this relaxed and joyful atmosphere, conversations began to flow effortlessly.

The activity reached its climax with the ultimate test of language and acting skills—"Undercover Agent." All word cards centered around Chinese cultural elements:

During the description phase, participants racked their brains to hint at their identities in Chinese: "This is a must-eat for New Year's in my hometown," "It looks like a little wallet..." The undercover agents struggled to blend in while commoners masterfully steered the discussions, creating countless "Aha!" moments for Chinese vocabulary building. After three intense rounds, the undercover agents secured only a 25% win rate, proving that language prowess ultimately dominated the game.

As the event drew to a close, teachers and students gathered on the steps for a group photo. "3, 2, 1—!" With the click of the shutter, beaming smiles were captured in a frame, perfectly concluding this session of the Chinese Corner.
